About damn time .. I grew up in a household with two smoking parents and especially hated road trips because of this. Its a shame folks can't be more respectful of others (any age for that matter), but kids have no power over what's going on around them .. so let's give them a hand. Like someone else said it should be federal law.

Not one to usually endorse the all-encompassing big goverment hand, but amen to this. There should be no freedom of choice wen it comes to children and willfully imposing health threatening situations upon them for the enjoyment of Comfort of their bigger and older counterpoints. Score one for the little guys

shouldn't be a law...should be common sense not to smoke around others regardless of age that don't smoke...that's called respect

Lets also be sure the bill requires sewing smokers mouths sewn shut. Maybe we should outlaw matches in UT too. Or maybe people only can have 7 matches. I like the comments on polygamy.

The Utah civil authorities and the LDS Church both banned polygamy in 1890.

Stupid Canadians wanting the nanny state to run rampant over the whole country. On the other hand, smokers will call it a "first amendment right" but puffing away on cancer sticks hardly qualifies as "speech." Maybe it is "freedom of religion" but smokers have to light incense to their god of nicotine.

That very hard to enforce. I don't smoke, but sometimes the state is overstepping their bounds. Next thing they'll say is they cannot smoke in their homes when they have kids.

It about time that parents in the USA started demonstrating that they care for their kids. It is terrible that we have to pass laws, like they have had in other countries for years, to force parents to stop abusing their children.

Tough.... I don't smoke, and I wouldn't do it in a car with my kids. But...... That's my choice..... I wouldn't want a law telling me that I couldn't do that!
